Guy Pearse = or > Awesome!
Ok, we’re shamefully slow off the mark with this one. Forgive us!
Anyways, mere moments ago I found myself pondering, as one often does, on just how wicked Mr Pearse is. Speaking precisely, he’s extremely wicked; not only in general terms, or for his part in the incoming Lockout feature, but more specifically for his ability to characterise self-assured industry tycoon and intellectual leviathan Peter Weyland.
This viral short, promoting Ridley Scott’s upcoming Prometheus, seems initially unrelated to the Alien prequel starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and, obviously, Mr Pearse himself.
Curiously, the short takes place at TED 2023 (whatever that is), 62 years prior to the events of Prometheus. That said, the Weyland-Yutani Corporation is eponymous within the Alien franchise, and this initial glimpse at the conglomerate’s head couldn’t impress more.
A couple more teasers to this standard and Prometheus might rival Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises for fan anticipation summer 2012.
Prometheus will be bursting out of some chests and into a cinema near you on June 8th.
