Bond is fifty years old! Well not Daniel Craig but the 007 franchise is set to release, Skyfall, it's 50th movie later this year and also marking an occassion this year is the Olympics as 2012 sees Londons third time to host the modern games. So what better way to celebrate than to collaborate and do something special for both occasions!
Daniel Craig has been in personally invited into Buckingham Palace to shoot spectacular scenes for a short film, titled The Arrival, which will be shown during the opening ceremony and watched by a billion people around the world on July 27.
The Sun reported the film will have Bond arriving by royal appointment to be given his latest mission to launch the games.Her Majesty may even make a cameo appearance but the Palace is keeping details a secret.
Craig and Trainspotting director Danny Boyle were given unprecedented access to The Queen's private rooms on Tuesday.
They're also been shooting helicopter and parachute scenes.
A source on set said: "They wanted the most iconic British film character inside the building most associated with London and with the monarch — and they got it.
