Time to settle a less heated argument.
Two of the greatest boxers of all time could be set to step into the ring for one post-retirement match as Robert De Niro (Raging Bull) and Sylvester Stallone (Rocky) are in talks to star in Grudge Match. Negotiations are currently ongoing and a start date has been tentatively set for early next year. Peter Segalhas been signed on to direct, while Entourage creator Doug Ellin wrote the most recent draft.
Both reported stars have a fairly full schedule at the moment. De Niro is currently attached to the likes of a sequel to Midnight Run; The Comedian, Freelancers, The Big Wedding, Silver Linings Playbook and Killing Season. He will also be promoting another boxing movie, Hands of Stone, over the next year or so. Stallone on the other hand will be kept busy with Bullet to the Head, The Expendables 2, and The Tomb. We’re not sure how many people had arguments over who would win this match in a fight, but it’s time to settle it anyways. Could they leave it up to the imagination like the end of Rocky III?
