Not for everyone and not that good
Ken from Louth, 25 May 2010
For those who remember Dublin in 1979 this is not reflective of that life. What it is is a microcosm of life in a north Dublin suburb. That said what is does capture is the relative innocence of the time and gives a reasonable insight into middle class Dublin from the point of view of teenage girls. The target audience is unquestionably female and most others will find it somewhat self-indulgent and dull.
Enjoyable

Myself and the GF enjoyed this little movie.
It's a simple affair well told and nicely acted which gives a bit of a rose-tinted view of life on Dublin's Northside suburbs at the end of the 70's. Very much a teenage girls point of view but the characters are likable and generate goodwill towards themselves, which makes this worthy of a view.
A walk down memory lane

The story spans a short period of time in a group of young girls' lives - nothing wild and crazy happens but it's life in late 1970s Ireland with plenty of bittersweet laughs and lots of 'oh wow I remember that' moments. Probably not one for the boys but a definite feel-good movie for girls.
Guessed wrong on this title

Got this one wrong ,thought it was about a bus route, but my wife enjoyed it and said it brought back memories.I dont read reviews hence the mistake but turned out well ,so its up to you to make the choice being 40+ and from dublin you will enjoy.
So-So

An alright movie. Probably nostalgia for anybody who grew up around Clontarf/Raheny in late 70's.
It didn't require much concentration and was more something you'd watch on TV than at a cinema or on Dvd.
