I showed this movie to my husband recently, who had never seen it! it was one of the original black comedy movies that is a classic. Will remain on my top list for many more years to come... share this wth someone who hasn't see it!

3.5 out of 10 An American Werewolf in London
Eoghan from Dublin, 18 Feb 2008
Good film, great fun to watch if you're a horror fan. I also found it quite funny in parts. John Landis is a great director, you can tell this film influenced Michael Jackson's music video "Thriller" (also directed by John Landis).

4 out of 10 An American Werewolf In London

The original and the best of the John Landis films. The effects of this movie took horror films away from the Hammer genre and though it too looks dated it is good to be taken back to my teens years to see again.

3.5 out of 10 Bitta fun, bitta gore
David from Dublin, 11 Sep 2007
Neat enough movie, some oddball moments with some serious werewolf stuff in others, but good. Make up and special effects are top notch and somewhat disturbing, though in a goofy way

What's it about....
A macabre mix of humor and horror that shot director John Landis to fame. This classic horror/comedy tells the beastly tale of two American youths David and Jack (Naughton and Dunne) whose European adventure turns to terror after they are attacked by a werewolf. One of the travelers is killed, but the other's fate is worse than death as every full moon now seems to bring out the beast in him.
