There was a lot of hype in the media about this film, but it failed to impress me. It's not a film that stays with you. I watched Batman begins right before watching Dark Knight. BB was a lot more structured. Heath Ledger was v.good and the effects were as you'd expect. BUT - the story is all over the shop. They've tried to tie up too many character's stories. Two-face was a classic character and they only gave him a short role. Batman Begins is the better film, IMHO.
Decent superhero film

Batman Begins is a good, solid superhero movie. It shows how Bruce Wayne became Batman and how he gets all his gadgets and bat suit. However the film is let down by villains that don't seem menacing enough. When you think of Batman you think of the classic villains like Joker and the Penguin. The bad guys here are slightly downplayed, which robs the film a little of its punch. Despite this it remains entertaining, with Michael Caine excellent as Alfred the butler.

Excellently dark retelling of the Dark Knights creation featuring a solid Bale in the lead role. Does away with the horrors that were the last couple of Batman movies and keeps it dark and dirty to its benefit. You're either a fan or you're not so you don't need me to tell you to rent this if you are at all interested!

This films puts a comic book in the real world better than the previous batmans, better than most comic films. Really gets inside Bruce Wayne's head on why he decided to dress up as a big bat and fight crime. Bale is excellent as usual and is supported by a really strong cast. Looking forward to the next one.

NICE TO SEE A BATMAN FLICK NOT DONE IN THE SAME OLD STAGED STYLE, BUT MORE LIKE A REALITY DOCUMENTARY WITH A COOL STORY LINE. IT WO'T CHANGE YOUR LIFE, BUT THIS WILL DEFINATELY KEEP YOU GLUED TO THE SCREEN AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY INTERESTED IN UNDERSTANDING THE MAKE UP OF THIS MAN.
