1 out of 10 Woeful

Promised so much in the beginning but really collasped once the USMC deployed and that is about 10-20 minutes into the movie. Lets face it Aliens invading with the technology these little critters have are going to wipe the floor with the human race but all you need is a squad of marines and your sorted, it struck me that they ran out of ideas and had to wrap it up hence the ending which was a bit of a anti climax just like the whole movie 2 hours I am never getting back gutted!

2 out of 10 You're fighting for your country, godammit!
Jason from Meath, 10 Oct 2011
This is no better or worse than Independence Day: the 'dialogue' is every bit as cringeworthy, the plot has holes big enough to fly a UFO through, and calling the characters one-dimensional might be over-estimating by one. Nevertheless, if you want disengage your brain for 2 hours and watch Marines shoot aliens in true Hollywood style then this is the movie for you! Or Independence Day.

Another that was undersold by the critics. Hard hitting and excellently put together. Decent all round flick, but made with sequels or a TV series in mind.

This film had a real "blear witch" feal about it. I am not into films that are made this way. It was watchable but not a hit for me.

This film was very good, I found it quiet scary as it was so realistic and I felt that this could happen...

What's it about....
Witness the end of civilization unfold as hostile alien invaders attack the planet. As people everywhere watch the world's great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. Now it's up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered in this epic sci-fi action film.
