very sensuous and moving, not a great movie adaptation of a theratre production, at certain sections it is quiet obviously a play, whcih can be quiet irritating at times. but an excellant movie on the discrimination of gay men during the nazi occupation and their suffering in the concentration camps. a refreshing look at an unsavoury topic, an other group of people other than the jewish people who suffered at the hands of the dictatorship.
well worth the watch
mick jaggar is very funny

Not great

Mick Jagger appears in drag in the opening. That might be a highlight for some. After that, it's a poor adaptation of a play that's much more effective on stage, where intimacy and reliance on words and facial expressions are more suited to the effect it strives for.
Interesting to see Clive Owen in such a role well before he became famous. He does his best, but his performance seems like an audition for something else. Bluteau fares better.

REAL HISTORY OF NAZI GERMANY AND WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT IN WITH THE GERAMNS. THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST NON-MAINSTREAM MOVIE I HAVE PROBABLY EVER SEEN. RENT IT TODAY, AND DON'T IF YOU ARE NOT UP FOR A DOSE OF THE DARKER SIDE OF REALITY IN HISTORY. 10 +++
Not bad

..decent acting (blink and you will miss jude law) however it does suffer from a low budget. The detention centre looks like a cement factory with barbed wire around it, which funnily enough is probably what it is!
Okay

It's probably an excellent play, but it was lacking on screen. Mostly because Clive Owen just didn't cut it. The support cast was okay. Worth a watch.
