4 out of 10 Blade Runner
Jennifer from Donegal, 11 Oct 2009
The Blade Runner examines the frailties of civilization. On the the one side you have humans who have replicants to attend their every need and the replicants themselves who have evolved enough to realise that they are servants to their human masters. Is it right to terminate them the same way as one would another human.Harrison Ford's character has to wrestle with this question as he finds himself falling in love with a relicant.Who is human and who isn't that is the question

4 out of 10 Blade Runner The Directors Cut
Caitríona from Wicklow, 11 Oct 2007
This film made in 1991? is set in 2019. It is quite futuristic and has stood the test of time. It is quite entertaining to study what was perceived as being futurtistic 16 years ago. Being a Harrison Ford fan I did enjoy the fact that he appears in nearly every scene of this film. But he seems to be playing the same type of character in just different centuries! The lighting seems always to be dark and it also always seems to be raining. An enjoyable film.

2 out of 10 Disappointing
Brian from Mayo, 23 Apr 2008
A film I had great expectations of when I sat down to watch it. Unfortunately, it failed to live up to what I expected. I am a sci-fi fan, but this came across as a bit of a mess. It presents a totally joyless vision of the future, and the final fight scene made me burst out laughing for all the wrong reasons. All in all, a disappointment.

4.5 out of 10 beautifully shot..
matthew from Carlow, 25 May 2008
Its hard to believe this film is 26 years old(1982). If you any way into a strange world of sci-fi and you imagination, rent this. I watched it 3 times, just to enjoy the surroundings and the future view of a americian city, is interesing to say the least. Nuff said. You will either love it or hate it!

5 out of 10 Sci~Fi Classic
Robert from Offaly, 10 Apr 2007
Watching the movie again after ten years was a revelation! Romance, action and a thought-provoking plot exploring the nature of humanity itself. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun from that description, but give it a chance-you won't be disappointed!

What's it about....
Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) prowls the steel-and-microchip jungle of 21st century Los Angeles. He's a "blade runner" stalking genetically made criminal replicants. His assignment: kill them. Their crime: wanting to be human. The story of Blade Runner is familiar to countless fans. But few have seen it like this. Because this is the Director, Ridley Scott's, own vision of his sci-fi classic. This new version omits Deckard's voiceover narration, develops in slightly greater...
