4.5 out of 10 Really good one
Keith from Clare, 12 Nov 2010
Was impressed with this one and in my opinion D'caprio is turning into one of the finest actors in the field....Crowe is his usual dominant self, flawless and precise and the script is good, solid and plausible. it totally grabbed my attention and left me guessing at every turn as thrillers should...it also brought in feelings of other sorts but I'll say no more on that...its personal....all in all, if you dont get this very real pictorial of adventure and excitement, might i suggest Bridget Jon

2.5 out of 10 a wasted opportunity
Thomas from Limerick, 21 Apr 2009
Meh, not as good as I had hoped, given the talent ( Directorial and acting) on show. Pretty much a by the numbers middle east spy thriller ( with some notable action scenes) and some good acting by Crows and de Caprio. Still, at the end you kind of say, well, so what? Arguably too simplistic in it's exploration of the middle east and it's politics also.

3.5 out of 10 Solid performances, good action thriller
Niamh from Dublin, 10 May 2009
Enjoyed both DiCaprio and Crowe with their solid performances in their master/apprentice struggle. Set between Middle East and USA DiCaprio plays an agent trying to infiltrate and destoy a terrorist group. Romance story was weak and out of character but otherwise the movie keeps you hooked throughout. A little predictable but defo worth a watch.

3.5 out of 10 Body of lies
Trish from Limerick, 14 Dec 2009
Bit hard to get into at times, only gets interesting about an hour in. But then it does get going and you wonder how true to life the story is. Great acting from DiCaprio. Female love interest was a bit of a waste in that she served no real purpose to the story

4.5 out of 10 Excellent film
John from Donegal, 24 Oct 2009
An undercover agent finds he is fighting both the enemy & his own people trying to get his job done. Decaprio & Crowe are the Pacino & De Niro of their day. An excellent film which is relevant to todays world of terrorist fighting and trustless governments.

What's it about....
"Body of Lies" is based on "Washington Post" columnist David Ignatius' 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris, who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. When Ferris devises a plan to infiltrate his network, he must first win the backing of cunning CIA veteran Ed Hoffman and the collegial, but perhaps suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Although ostensibly his allies, Ferris questions how far he can really trust these...
