5 out of 10 Casablanca
Peter from Wicklow, 09 Jun 2007
I have avoided this so called classic my whole life but with everything good in life maybe you need to mature in order to fully appreciate this masterpiece. The location is exotic even today yet the city breathes life to this movie along with the sublime cast . The underlining story is even to those day as ponitant as ever. I ask Mr Bogart up there to accept my apologises for shelving this gem for so long. Do you self a favour and watch this movie and bathe in it's nostalgia

What's it about....
Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if your name is on the Nazi's most-wanted list. Atop that list is Czech Resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henried), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one... especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. So when Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's safe transport out of the country, the bitter Rick...
