Disappointing!

Stephen Frears directing, Michelle Pfeiffer starring, based on a Collette story - sounds all good, but this was awfu! Charmless and forced acting, dull and predictable story. Must have been intended to appeal to 'cougars', but the young man looks like a sulking goth and it is incomprehensible that Pfeiffer could love him. No chemistry between them at all.
Avoid!
Belle Epoque Tale

This is a visually beautiful film lacking in warmth. Despite a really great cast it is difficult to empathise much with the characters. Worth a watch if only for the gorgeous Art nouveau interiors and costumes.
a new look at Dangerous Liasons!

I really enjoyed this film - possibly one of the best roles Michelle Pfeiffer has ever done. Not a rollercoaster but surprizingly enjoyable.
Fabulous !

Wow Michelle looks amazing. Worth a watch. Very subtle and yet clever script. Worth a see. Cathy Bates understated, but brilliant presence.
FORGET IT

Utter rubbish. Michele Pfifer must be stuck for work.
