This is of course a comedy....Steve Carell does his usual nice but kinda dim guy with a less than roaring sex drive. But he is a great dad but obviously a boring husband because the movie begins with his being told by his wife of a couple decades plus that she wants a divorse. Unlike most guys i know who upon hearing his wife admitting to an affair facing the loss of his happy home and his children become depressed and withdrawn..Carell instead hooks up with a lounge lizard total womanizer played by Ryan Gosling who quickly turns him into a super stud who quickly beds nine sexy ladies.
Of course we all know that Cartell will reunite with wifey by the end of the movie...also is no surprise that skirt chaser Gosling wil find "His One True Love" and be revealed as a closeted "family guy" after all.
also few providing laughs are a slightly annoying over sexed 13 year old boy...the part wildly miscast.... and a seventeen yeat old female baby sitter with a you guessed it hots for the

This is a good night in and you won't regret watching it. But that said in two weeks you may not remember the story or even if you've ever seen it. It's bubble gum. You'll enjoy it while it lasts and have a few laughs. Then you'll forget it forever.
Not just another hollywood rom com.

This seemed like your average american "rom com" movie but I stayed with it and found it pretty good. It's not the most original of stories but it's very well told, has a lot of charm. It's light and funny and a little quirky.

Rubbish - couldnt finish the film turned it off after about 40 minutes - was waiting for a few laughs or something to happen - neither happened
