Absolutely loved this movie. The music fits in surprisingly well in the movie. All of the acting is fantastic with Bjork playing an independent yet vulnerable young woman who is losing her sight and can only think of protecting her son from the same fate. She is luckily surrounded by friends who look out for her, but they can do little to protect her from tragedy in the end. Get the tissues out before sitting down to watch. Moving and heard breaking.

Bjork was so good and it wasn't "slow moving" as the comment above suggests. The storyline was unique and emotional. I had doubts about this as I thought Bjork wouldn't be a good actor but she was superb. I really fell in love after watching this movie. Lars Von Trier created another masterpiece - even though Bjork know hates him! (she had a nervous breakdown during the filming due to the pressure of him to accomplish what he wanted) etc. watch this.

Having been a big fan of the CD, I was intrigued how the music would be fit into a narrative. While it was nice to see the songs accompanied by visuals, the rest of the film was very slow moving. Bjork fans might do well buying the DVD as there is a nice feature allowing you to play all of the songs together; thereby skipping the pretty drab story. Also, the songs are alternate mixes to the CD so that's another reason to own this one!
