Ustinov is particularly excellent as the Belgian detective Poirot in a whodunnit film where all the leads including Davis, Landsbury and Ashcroft all get to ham it up to the max with the Nile river and all its starring glory as a marvellous backdrop. Especially appealing if one is planning a visit to Egypt or a cruise on the Nile or have just returned from Abu Simel
