Death Sentence

Kudos to Kev for trying a difficult role, but it's a rubbish film. We have the most stupid people ever on film. Kevins actions get more stupid as the film wears on, bad guys run around streets, public areas and car parks shooting the hell out of everything and the cops can't pull them in, identify them or even show up. I wont even mention failing to kill people at point blank range. The makers put way too much love into the gore and none into anything else. Avoid. Marks for one good stunt.

Fairly Predictable

This film followed the formulae for 'revenge movie', and it was pretty obvious from the beginning with the montage of the perfect family that it was all going to be violent and bloody from here on in. Still, it was enjoyable for all that, and as the director, James Wan also did the Saw movies, what else could we expect.
Rent it if you're in the mood for the 'little man' getting his own back, just don't expect to much sense.
Good action, bad story.....

To be honest this movie would have been better if it was entitled "stupidity" because of the way the lead character goes about things. He is just looking for trouble. Once you get over the disbelief of how stupid he actually is there's still some desent action in this movie.
'Death Sentence'

Hard to watch, I actually went to bed though that is not a direct comment on the film. My husband filled me in on the ending and though it was really appropriate it certainly is not an uplifting movie. I do love Kevin Bacon and he plays the role well.
Stay well away

Kevin Bacon does tend to bring you on a roller coaster with his films. This one he has hit the trough big time. By the end of it your wondering what else his character is going to do. And it ain't gonna be good. Worst Film Ever? A contender anyway.
