Tempted to turn it off!

I've never not watched a film to the end no matter how bad it was but I've never been more tempted than about 15mins into this mess. Bad acting, terrible continuity and a god awful script destroyed this film that had a decent plot, a support cast that pulled their weight and the occassional moment of visual magic. All fingers of blame must point to the director who has a fairly good track record.
The biggest issue I have is that it was almost good, at least if it was bad it may have had a chance at being so bad it was good. It just felt slightly off throughout

Based on a true story, this is a gripping film. Its extremely well acted (Daniel Craig speaking fluent Polish & Russian in particular) and although it shows the horrors of Nazi-ism and anti-semitism it seems to be much more subdued than many other films and therefore not as hard to watch.
Daniel can do so much better!

Thoroughly disappointing. Daniel Craig looks great but appeared as uncomfortable as his supporting cast. The story is a great one but it was hard to sustain feelings of horror or fear as the movie progressed. The dialogue was truly dreadful at times.
Bleak & Gritty

A tragic true story of the harrowing journey of a group of Belarusian nomads, being hunted down by the nazis and their own russian police force. Accents are a big bogey at times but it doesn't take away from what is a good film.

Based on the remarkable true story of the Bielski Partisans. A group of Belarus Jews who survived living rough in the forest until the end of WW11. Absolutely remarkable even with Daniel Craig. Highly Recommended
