0.5 out of 10 Overrated...
Nikki from Kerry, 05 Jul 2008
There was hardly any story or plot, just an overload of vulgar images and shots of Nicole Kidman posing and trying too hard to be irresistible. I always heard this was so genius but I get the feeling its strictly for pretentious Stanley Kubrick fanatics or someone that has never seen naked people before.

3 out of 10 Eyes wide shit.
Robert from Kildare, 12 Oct 2007
Good movie, but I presume most movie buffs have seen by now. Don't like Tom Cruise much, but he can play the part pretty well in this one. Kidman is also on form. Overall, if you haven't seen it yet, you could do yourself a favour and rent it now! Not bad- 6/10.

No wonder Kubrick stoppped making films after this! The acting and scripting was wooden and I could see no `insightful` elements to this film. It moved Mama Mia up from the bottom of thw worst film list,

So many scenes that had no relevance, slow moving story... couldn't get into it at all. And Kidmans overdramatic breathy acting got me itching for the fastforward button.

A bit of a hype. Orgies so choreographed that they were as sexless as gymnastics; overdone, cast of hundreds, nonsense

What's it about....
Kubrick's Haunting Final Masterpiece. Vivid, Brilliant, Unforgettable" (Richard Schickel, TIME). Stanley Kubrick's daring last film is many things. It is a compelling psychosexual journey. A haunting dreamscape. A riveting tale of suspense. A major milestone in the careers of stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. And "a worthy final chapter to a great director's career" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times). Cruise plays Dr. William Hartford, who plunges into an erotic foray that...
