A Real Treat
Daniel from Dublin, 07 Dec 2010
For fans of director Noah Baumbach this is a real treat.
While dificult to like the main character the film is full of dark humour with a wonderful performance from Ben Stiller (who would have known it was possible)
If you like Bumbach's previous films (The Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding), then this is an absolute must; if you think Two and a Half Men is funny, stay away.
No point

This movie is pointless. It is not awfull in an arty way, where it makes some kind of intellectual point that you don't get. It is the complete opposite. It tells a really dragged out un-interesting story of a whingy man and then... just stops. No conclusion. Nothing. Waste of an hour and a half.
Awful

Am awful film with a bunch of awful characters.
Ben Stiller plays a selfish tedious little man, and Juno Temple plays a stupid fool.
On my deathbed, I will wonder, why did I waste a Friday night in the company of those idiots in that film???
Rhys Ifans was good though.
NO!
Brian from Westmeath, 11 Mar 2011
Love Ben and liked the premise of the film. Rhys Ifans and all. Should have been good, but ends up like most of Noah's films (I'm not a fan) as self indulgent and only enjoyable to those of very unstable disposition.
STAY AWAY.
Omg is this realy a movie!!!
