4 out of 10 Sandler shines
William from Wicklow, 26 May 2011
Sandler movies never get a good review from the press but still he packs out movie teaters.. Grown Ups is an example why.. Very funny,Kevin James is a great support..Has the usual sloppy, lovey american comedy ending where everyone learns a valuable life lesson but other than that it the buisness!

4 out of 10 Made a miserable person laugh !
caner from Kildare, 10 Feb 2011
Not a fan of much American humour but this was really well scripted with lib gags from all the good comedians around. I rarely laugh out loud and didnt expect much but there are some funny lines. Watch it when you need a laugh and feel like you miss your childhood.

2 out of 10 Oh God No
Seamus from Monaghan, 30 May 2013
Watched this to the end and hated every minute of it. It's childish and silly...... but not in a good way. I couldn't find it in me to care for any of the characters or people and so it quickly became a selection of set pieces that weren't particularly funny.

2 out of 10 Strong cast but a poor film
Nicola from Leitrim, 30 May 2011
I was expecting alot more of this film too with such a big ensemble cast but yet again i was disappointed, all the jokes you cold see a mile away and it turned very schmaltzy,.

What's it about....
In the tradition of the The Big Chill, five childhood friends (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider) reunite after 30 years to attend the funeral of their beloved youth basketball coach over the Fourth of July weekend. They all stay at the late coach's lake house with their families in tow. Comedy ensues as they relive old times, tease each other, and try to show their kids how to have fun the old fashion way. The hilarious reunion shows them...
