3.5 out of 10 Slushy American crap, but I enjoyed it
Greg from Donegal, 05 Nov 2010
As long as you aren't expecting this film to be good then you'll probably find it safely enjoyable. It fills an evening nicely, is warm and comforting as well as predictable and plastic. And a cute dog - watch it with yours.

3 out of 10 Break out the tissues!
Elias from Kerry, 15 Jul 2010
This was a touching story about companionship with a man and his dog. It had my wife in tears. I thought it was nice as well. A few curse words that I though it could do without, other than that, well worth a view.

4 out of 10 Heartbreaking and so sad.
Jeannine from Kerry, 14 Jul 2010
Based on a real story that leaves no eyes dry. Hachi waiting for his bos to return day after day, year after year. You need time to recover from this film. It is heartbreaking.

What's it about....
This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During...
