I love animails so I was positive for the film before anyway. Nice story but i thought it dragged too long. it is amazing with the dog waiting til his death and i needed my tissues but also except gere the rest of the cast annoyed me. ok....

As long as you aren't expecting this film to be good then you'll probably find it safely enjoyable. It fills an evening nicely, is warm and comforting as well as predictable and plastic. And a cute dog - watch it with yours.

This was a touching story about companionship with a man and his dog. It had my wife in tears. I thought it was nice as well. A few curse words that I though it could do without, other than that, well worth a view.

Based on a real story that leaves no eyes dry. Hachi waiting for his bos to return day after day, year after year. You need time to recover from this film. It is heartbreaking.

Have the tissues ready....my son and I were in floods at the end. Very enjoyable all the way through - the dog's amazing...so cute! Richard Gere's not bad either...
