This film seeemed to be totally pointless to me. Will Smith is a great actor and he manages to carry this film much further than it deserves. the storyline is uneventful , predictable and a bit pointless. This movie seemed as if it was introducing us to this new superhero and setting the scene for a number of sequels but they forgot to make it a movie worth watching in its self so i'd expect we'll not be seeing much of Hancock in the future. They should really have put more effort in with the st

Starts off well with Will Smith well cast as Hancock, a man with unexplainable superpowers who actually causes more damage then good when trying to take out bad guys. Enter Jason Bateman who (also well cast) tries to help Hancock and hone and PR him into a bonafide Superhero. From halfway it goes off the boil as it becomes clear why Hancock is the way he is and Charlize Theron is just average. Nice idea but runs out of steam. Kids loved it though. Worth a bowl of popcorn and a family viewing on
So much of a let down

This film tried so much and achieved so little. Early on it had huge potential but the introduction of "the twist" was the beginning of the end for this film. Early humour was replaced by ridiculous plot line and the film lost all entertainment value. Will Smith never really lets you down in this kind of film and truly is the action hero master. Nothing else in this film works. Avoid it unless you are a female who will enjoy looking at Will for two hours regardless of the movie.

The forst 25min of this movie is a waste of time, then the twist cut in and the movie could have been saved except they kept breaking the rules they already set out making for a confusing watch mash of special effects.
This xould have been really good with a bit of trimming from the start and more thought to revealing of the plot twist and keeping to the ground rules of that twist. Ultimately the dénouement was nothing of the sort. Wil Smith must do better next time.
An interesting idea not done before

What made Hancock watchable for me was the idea of a superhero trying to redeem himself. There hasnt been any films I know of where that was the single focus point of a hero movie was to try and better himself. Its interesting to see how or even if Hancock will try to do this in the film. The end wasnt predictabe and it had its own inventive type of ending.I felt it was worth renting after having seen it, but it wasnt a film I would want to watch often.
