2.5 out of 10 A patchy movie
Andrew from Tipperary, 21 Oct 2011
Some of this is great fun, particularly in the first half. But it never quite seems to get off the ground like the earlier ones did, and as it works to its climax it begins to feel like so many of the Indiana Jones wannabe movies of the last thirty years, rather than the real thing. The ever-reliable Ford holds up well as an older more mellow Indy, and other characters measure up well, but it's climax is - well, anticlimactic and unsatisfying. Worth seeing if you're an Indy fan; but probably only once.

3 out of 10 'Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Fiona from Dublin, 24 Nov 2008
Better than I expected. Very similar formula to the older movies. Cate Blanchett is a much better "bad guy" than some from previous movies but is actully not on screen much. It was nice to see some old characters & story lines tied up neatly. The scene in the diner with Indy & Shia La Boef's character reminded me a bit of Back to the future & I thought his (Shia's) acting was poor in this scene & it was very contrived but as the movie went on I thought he improved alot & so did the movie.

3.5 out of 10 Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Jennifer from Donegal, 06 Feb 2009
A tried and tested winning formula for all Indy fans. All the elements from previous Indy films are there, as well as a nice acknowledgement to late actor Denholm Elliott (Marcus Brody) and Sean Connery. That said, the story wasn't as detailed as in previous films, but for older fans it felt as comfortable as putting on a comfy pair of slippers. Ford's fitness belies his years. Good use of character actors such as Jim Broadbent and Ray Winstone.

3 out of 10 Indy should have stayed at home
Mark from Dublin, 12 Oct 2009
Okay there is a certain amount of anticipation to watching one of these movies you know what you are going to get but have to say I was slightly disapointed at the end result maybe it had something to do with changing the main villains or the plot being wafer thin or just that it was not as fresh or good as the previous three I hope they stop here but the son obviously being lined up to take it on this franchaise will run and run.

1 out of 10 Defrosting the fridge is better craic...
James from Galway, 06 Feb 2009
You know when you see an 'actor' from Eastenders suddenly appearing on som toher mind dribble of a soap opera you get that kinda jade feeling where you just sigh and wish you could erase the junk from your memory well this Indy installment is kinda like that, its a Pot Noodle of a film, instant, a bit yuck and easily forgotten... if you want to watch a pensioner 'running' around the jungle I recommend David Attenbourgh.

What's it about....
The newest Indiana Jones adventure begins in the desert Southwest in 1957 - the height of the Cold War. Indy and his sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) have barely escaped a close scrape with nefarious Soviet agents on a remote airfield. Now, Professor Jones has returned home to Marshall College - only to find things have gone from bad to worse. His close friend and dean of the college (Jim Broadbent) explains that Indy's recent activities have made him the object of suspicion,...
