Uplifting anti-war movie
Ciaran from Dublin, 23 Apr 2007
The idea that, on a Christmas eve in the trenches in France, the French, German and British (Scots here) army all ceased hostilities and met up in no-mans land for a cup of tea, a glass of wine and to exchange photos is somewhat magical. That something of the sort happened is on the historical record, this movie makes a story of the idea and makes it very watchable indeed. Essential viewing for any history or war buff.
A christmas tale with a difference

Set during the first Christmas of the first world war it is a good movie very entertaining with a true story line thrown in for good measure
