2 out of 10 Just Like Heaven
Therese from Kildare, 02 Mar 2008
This film is distinctly average. Its alright for wasting a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon but doesn't deliver many laughs and isn't very believable (not that it's supposed to be). I have seen Reece Witherspoon play much better parts while Mark Ruffalo seems a bit out of character. I've also seen him do much better in films like Zodiac. He's a gritty actor who doesn't suit this kind of chick flick. All in all, ok but I wouldn't rush out and buy the dvd.

Reese Witherspoon is great. This is a funny and romantic chick flick but having said that my husband watched it with me and liked it too! Loved the special effects.

Funny, sad, touching, and one scene in particular that was poignant I couldn't even cry (and I love movies that make me cry :o) )

What's it about....
When David (Mark Ruffalo) rented his quaint San Francisco apartment, the last thing he expected - or wanted - was a roommate. He had only begun to make a complete mess of the place when a pretty but decidedly controlling young woman names Elizabeth (Reese Witherspoon) suddenly shows up, adamantly insisting the apartment is hers. David assumes there's been a giant misunderstanding...until Elizabeth disappears as mysteriously as she appeared. Changing the locks does nothing...
