3 out of 10 Worth it
Leanie from Kildare, 07 Jul 2009
An ok movie about a great singer and a very interesting character and a fascinating story. If you read the biography then you know that this story lends itself to a great movie. So it was rather disapointing that the movie jumps over timelines in a confusing manner. Not necesarry as a linear telling could have supported such a strong and eventful lifestory. Good acting all round. Satisfying and worth watching. Piaf lives on

5 out of 10 Edith Piaf
Avril from Cork, 11 Apr 2009
I really enjoyed this movie. I did not know that much about Edith Piaf before I watched this film. I fully reccomend this film even for people, like myself, who don't know that much about the singer. There were lots of emotional scenes, some where I laughed and some where I cried. An inspirational film.

5 out of 10 A truly outstanding piece of cinema
Derek from Dublin, 01 Feb 2011
This is an excellent depiction of the life of Edith Piaf. The rise and fall of a musical legend pulls no punches. A deserved Oscar and BAFTA for the lead actress who is outsrtanding throughout.

I am a huge fan of Edith Piaf so I really enjoyed this film though I do remember seeing an earlier version that I think I enjoyed more.

0.5 out of 10 Tedious
Alan from Dublin, 13 Jun 2010
One of the most depressing movies I've seen for ages, had to switch it off before the end to spare any more gloom.
