True story.

This might sound like a spoof war film judging by the title but it's actually based on the real life story of Max Manus, a Norwegian resistance fighter in WW2. I was a little dissappointed with this as most of the action was shown in the trailer and I found it hard to engage with the characters ( maybe due to the subtitles ). That said, it does give an insight to the less glamourous side of the war.
This movie has everything

What a great movie & the most expensive Norwegian movie ever made. It has it all, action, drama and tension from start to finish. Based on Max Manus's post war accounts of the war period in Norway. The blu-ray version also has a good documentary about him with rare interviews with Max Manus. Rent this and you won't be disappointed.

True story of Max Manus and the Norwegian resistance. Not a topic many people will be familiar with but the film gives a great insight into the period and the risks, and the toll that it took to fight the Nazis.
Good film
