3.5 out of 10 Not that bad
Christopher from Galway, 19 Jun 2009
I had no idea what to expect, this film has that Gotham city comic book feel about it which takes a minute to accept. I didn't know it until afterwards, but this film is based on a video game. So reset your expectations. While my wife walked out half way, I preserved and enjoyed it for what it was: an alternative, gothic noir action. More visual than substance, but worth a look.

3 out of 10 Good, could have been much better.

An NYPD Cop tries to find who killed his family 3 years ago, and finds a new type of drug may be connected. Quite a good film, special effects are excellent, though the confusing plot/editing spoils it. Wahlberg plays his usual moody character. Nothing special, but its a good waste of a few hours.

2 out of 10 Maximum Pain.
Alan from Dublin, 03 Nov 2010
Was looking forward to this as the trailer looked good. But apart from the excellent visuals, there's not a lot to get excited about. the story is disjointed and predictable, so much so that I struggled to stay awake throughout. One to miss.

Had been looking forward to this but was very disappointed. Boring boring boring, disjointed, bad performances, could have been so much better!

Was not able to really get into this film.. paused it several times, and ended up not even watching the end.
