2 discs and a bit of a trawl...

A work colleague had said this might come on 2 discs and indeed it did. I don't really understand why this film was in 2 parts, could have made a more pacy single film I feel. The opening scene of film1 pays homage to 24 with split screens and the like, but it slowly grinds from then on with only a few highlights to talk of, one of them being the lead actor who is quite good in this. Ultimatately though, the main character - whilst charismatic - isn't all that nice so devoting 4 hours of your li

went into this film with high expectations which is usually setting yourself up for trouble, but wow... vincent cassel hung around for the right director to make this movie... exciting, adrenaline-filled, insightful and sometimes just plain crazy, that even if is dramatised for the big screen, its an amazing story depicted wonderfully. forget about all the action hollywood movies you've seen (maybe, not Goodfellas) this one is THE best for the past 10 years. and remember his name is not mes-rine

A must see! Gripping stuff from start to finish. The fact that this is based on a true life character is incredible if a little disturbing. Vicent Cassel is amazing the whole way through and the support cast produce the goods with some familiar faces.
This has been one of the best movies I've seen in a while. So clear an afternoon and get stuck into both parts. It comes close to 4 hours but you won't be disappointed!

Meserine 1and 2

Outstanding performance by vincent cassell in the lead role as the formidable and yet strangely likeable Jacque Meserine. The film comes in a part 1 and part 2 format superbly shot and has real sense of authenticity about the whole film.Only problem I have with the film is I cant stop thinking I can speak French after watching it . A must see movie for real film lovers . say tres be in bonjour.
Well worth the watch !
