0.5 out of 10 Interesting Premise, Intellectually Weak
Seamus from Dublin, 12 Feb 2014
Existing reviews of this film give, on average, a 4-star rating. So, I rented it on this basis. However I couldn't have been more disappointed. The subject matter (human cloning) has plenty of scope for analysis and development but, I'm afraid the scriptwriter left his creative hat in bed, after he/she dreamed up the initial premise of the movie. The plot of the movie is very weak and simply can't sustain any human interest or create any tensions whatsoever. Pass this one by and check out "Gattica" instead.

3.5 out of 10 A must see !
Peter from Cork, 07 Jan 2010
The poster might fool you into thinking you are going to see a sicence fiction film but half way through you begin to make comparisons with your own life. The Kevin Spacey voiced robot is what we might all have in our own homes if we are not careful. This opens up all sorts of subjects for discussion and avenues of thought. The forced separation of husband and wife is sad at first and mind blowing by the end. This is a girls film and a boys film. See it.

4.5 out of 10 First Rate
Michael J from Wicklow, 15 Dec 2009
This is real science fiction, it engages the intellect and the heart and stays with you after the movie is over. Its not a hollywood sci-fi noisy explosion fest, its a clever and atmospheric slow burner with some tips of the hat to other great sci-fi movies of the past, notably 2001. One of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in years.

4 out of 10 Moon
Jason from Donegal, 12 Feb 2010
Slow-burning sci-fi drama that re-uses a few ideas from other films but does so very well, utilising the isolation of space to focus on feelings of loss, loneliness and mortality. Sam Rockwell is excellent as ever and this low budget effort looks anything but cheap. Well worth investigating.

5 out of 10 Sci-Fi as it was meant to be
Laura from Galway, 23 Jul 2010
This is one of those movies that makes you just sit back and think. Rockwell is astounding. This isnt a blast em up movie. The pace is measured but the movie doesnt drag at all. Great use of an enclosed set and music. If you like movies that stay with you then put this on your list.
