Mrs Henderson Presents

When you see Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins names in the cast you know you are in for a treat. What i found a surprising revelation was just how good an actor Will Young is.I must confess to not previously being fan but I found his portrayal of Bertie endearing. It is inspired by true events and I thought it accurately portrayed the era of pre-war and then wartime Britain. It was entertaining and enjoyable.
Worth a view.

Entertaining stuff with some fine actors thrown in make for decent movie experience, and the pretty girls help too! An old rich woman invests in a theatre during WWII and decides to give the lads some titillation before they head off to be killed, as she considers that most will have never seen a naked woman before they die. Fine intentions and it's all handled well.

This is a great film. It's a comedy that also very successfully pulls off being a serious film! Judy Dench and Bob Hoskins are amazing, each of them having had the script written with them in mind. Not wanting to sound cliché, but you'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll see a great film.
Dame Judy carries it

I like Dame Judy. I think she can act and brings something to most of what she does. So I enjoyed this film. I didn't know the plot beforehand or the real life story behind it, but I bothered to look it up after. Good entertainment, funny and informative. worth a watch.
Its okay

Its pretty harmless story of a theatre run by some old lass in the second world war that caused an uproar by providing nude shows despite the fact that the girls where covered up by feathers etc.with a few big hitters in the cast easy entertainment.
