Predictable but watchable

Somewhat predictable sci-fi "disaster" movie - anyone who's seen enough of these will probably be able to predict a mile off who's going to die and in what order. However the manner in which they die is still somewhat interesting and the movie has a bit to offer in terms of good props and effects and appearance wise is very likeable. All six members of the cast are fairly experienced so the acting is decent although the script and story are a bit too rushed to be entirely believable.

Despite all the moaning about this movie I thought it was quite good. Excellent special effects and a good cast mixing old with new. Kilmer is his usual self; You never quite know just how seriously he is taking the movie but looks the part as the hero. I particularly like the product placement as it tried to show how more commercial of space travel will be in the future.
