4.5 out of 10 this is what enthralling means
Maurice from Dublin, 06 Oct 2008
A series of short stories about september 11th viewed from the perspective of 11 international directors...I was expecting Nic Cage's movie! But what a great surprise. With the exception of 1 or 2 shorts these stories were unforgettable and so touching that I almost forgot I had an x chromosone and cried! The story from London (Mike Leigh I think) is as good a 10 minutes on violence and war as you will ever see.

3.5 out of 10 Contrasting tales of a day in history
Mark from Dublin, 19 Jun 2009
Some of the films are easily forgettable and you are left wandering exactly what happened then others are particular powerful and thought provoking thought Sean Penns effort was very good don't even get me started on the Japaneese shortie bizzarre is all I can say some of this is hard to watch but persevere this is not light entertainment though.

What's it about....
This film is a unique and extraordinary response to the catastrophic events in New York City that shook the world on September 11, 2001. producer Alain Brigand invited 11 renowned international directors to look towards their own cultures, their own memories, their own stories and their own language, and create a film lasting eleven minutes, nine seconds and one frame - 11'09''O1 - around September 11 and its consequences. The thought-provoking results - made with complete...
