Excellent

In fairness, I was fond of Ian Dury back in the day. That means that I was either in for a major fall or I would love this film. Thanksfully the latter is what came to pass. Andy Serkis is bruilliant as Dury and the supporting cast orbit around him allowing him to shine in the part he was born to play.
Would you enjoy this if you had never heard of Ian Dury and Blockheads? Probably not as much, but it is a real insight into one of the true characters of the punk era.
Loved it!

After a iffy start this movie soon settled into a fascinating biopic of one of the most interesting characters in British pop music for many years, Ian Dury. Andy Serkis is wonderful as the controversial Dury and there are strong performances all round.
Waste of a Disc

Worst film I've watched in years, felt like turning it off after 10 minutes, gave it another 10 minutes then hit the eject button. Dreadful music, terrible acting, like the Rocky horror show on speed.
Not great

I was a Blockhead fan and saw them live at Lewisham Odeon. I wish I'd left my memories there.
