4.5 out of 10 Shawshank Redemption
Carmel from Westmeath, 29 Sep 2007
It's a long time since I first watched this movied and I wondered if it would still have as huge an impact second time round. And it did, I had told my teenage daughter that I felt that it was the best film I had ever watched, and after watching it with me, she agreed that it was brilliant, and she kept thinking about it the next day

4 out of 10 Deep and powerful movie
David from Dublin, 11 May 2010
The ending was spoiled for me, so I didn't get the full effect. But otherwise, I can feel what makes this movie so powerful, it speaks to something inside us, something about hope, the wish to change things for ourselves, and the trouble of holding onto those wishes even when it feels it may be better for us just to forget them.

5 out of 10 Brilliant
John from Donegal, 04 Feb 2009
Follow the life in Prison of a man who may or may not have killed his wife. A simple plot made brilliant by the perfomances of the two main Actors. Faultless.
