Slow, thin plot, two-dimensional characters

Very slow film, with a very thin plot, and very poor characterisation. The dialogue and acting were stilted and wooden. Beautiful to look at, but throughout I was aware that I was watching a film. I did not engage with the story or the characters at any stage

The lead was totally miscast, it was long and drawn out and the characters were not well defined. Ultimately, it was totally boring and I couldn't care less about the characters. On a positive note, the cinematography and the art direction was superb.

A typical chick flick, do not watch this with your partner, he will be bored out of his head. I liked it, even it was a bit stretched out. Good ending, rented this because of Keira Knightley, but I am used to better performances of her.

Wasd disappointed in this movie think the actor selection could have been better. Couldnt get past the fact that the lead actor was in Dawson Creek! And it also annoyed me that he didnt appreciate the things he had in his life!

From an amazing book an insignificant movie. This is a great love story but there is no chemistry on screen, no passion. The story is told because it has to. Read the book forget the movie
