Loved It

Saw this in the cinema, well worth putting up with the stink of popcorn and sound of mobile phones... Two words... Robert DeNiro!! His best role in years. The film was just watchable up to his 'wardrobe malfunction' of sorts... then you just can't take your eyes off it! If you don't wet yourself laughing at parts of this you need to get checked out. Quite funny, cute and romantic. You'll smile! Didn't notice if it was a long film or not as it was very enjoyable. Rent it and rent it again even!

A Gem

An absolute gem of a flick and what a surprise! The plot is quite derivative but it's the characters, casting and script that makes it so enjoyable. It's 'The Princess Bride' for the current generation and although it cannot achieve the highs of that movie, Stardust shows that a good script well delivered can always be entertaining. And it is entertaining from the very off to the very end. The whole family should love it! Oh, and Pfeiffer looks great!
Enjoyable

Another magical adventure. Ok so let's see there is narnia, hook, harry potter, and now this. Its good in its own right ... but I'm gtting bored of these movies. I think the hollywood conveyor belt should slow down on these and reschedule them for when we crave some more of the same stuff . Mind you ... the "star" is GORGEOUS!
Brill fantasy belter
Mark from Dublin, 12 Jul 2008
Its a belter with a really good story that keeps you on the edge of your seat will boy get girl and go on to discover who his mother is and escape the clutches of the pirates, and avoiding the princes and witches that are after the same goal and ultimately find true love? Robert De Niro is there anything he cant do....
A nice sunday afternoon film

Since harry potter there's been a rush to turn every children's fantasy story into a film, with varying success, but this is one of the better efforts. Its a charming film with plenty to keep adults entertained, but don't expect lots of plot twists. Worht watching just to see Robert De Niro playing a gay pirate!
