not your usual teenage angst movie

this movie is a classic. It is about the last party of your youth and the trials and hilarity of it all. The acting is absolutely excellent. the jokes are priceless and quite a few of them will have tears in your eyes. We will rent this again its that funny. The odd cringing moment of badness but overall a really laugh out loud movie. cant recommend it enough. I just pray there is not a superbad 2,3,4,5....10..get it but be advised some of the jokes are incredibly rude.e.g. not for a 1st date :)

I had heard the rumours and read the reviews about "Superbad" and so prepared myself for a real rollicking ride. However, this film flatters to deceive in the end and just doesn't hit the heights that its opening half hour promise, largely due to the entrance of the 2 police officers, who drag the film into the realms of the ridiculous and ruin it in my view. That said, the script is funny, the acting sharp and the pace unerring, so I wouldn't dissuade you from adding it to your rental queue.

The little known TV show 'freaks & geeks' has spawned a Canadian stoner comedy collective that includes Seth Rogen (writer and actor) & Judd Apatow (producer) and there's plenty of releases to come. I think this film is a bit overrated and doesn't compete with similar efforts such as Anchorman and Knocked Up. That said, theres still a few laughs and its worth watching. I look forward to "Drillbit Taylor" and "Pineapple Express" in the hope that experience improves the quality.

Definitely one for the lads, although my girlfriend raves about it, so perhaps thicker-skinned girls will enjoy the satirical view into what goes on inside the heads teenage boys.... I thoroughly enjoyed Superbad, it's more fast-paced than most films of this genre, as the boys stumble quickly from one disasterous adventure to the next with the eternal optimism/denial of youth. The wayward Cops, "McLovin" and a host of other characters put Superbad a cut above the rest.

Three normal teenagers who re not really in the A-list try to impress the girls, but booze and get into parties. All with hilarious results! This is a great movie to enjoy with a couple of beers. the lads are constantly at it, planning and messing up, doing stupid things and the effect is a constant stream of laughs. it's clever enough humour too....a cut above some of the crap that claims to be comedy these days. Highly recommended if you want a good laugh.
