Full of holes but not all cheese.

It seems the only way to be impressed by a film these days is to expect very little from the outset. Although full of huge plot holes and a very unlikeable leading man in christian Bale this is not a bad action film. The machines have got a real feel of weight and menace but for the life of me i can't figure out why there are only 6 of them and not an army. Sam Worthington is the real star here, even though his character is entirely unfeasible. Should have been made as a film in its own right and not part of the Terminator saga.

It'll be back !!

If this installment is anything to go by, I'm sure there'll be more movies in this franchise. Despite some bad press, I was unsure if this was going to live up to the previous Terminator films but I needn't have worried. Set in 2018 it has plenty of new terminators trying to put an end to humans. Christian Bale gives a good brooding action performance ( a la Batman ) and has a good supporting cast with him, the action sequences are brilliant and the special effects live up to the big budget. Future begins badly

The first movie was a 18-rated sci-fi thriller, grounded in reality, which was one reason Arnie had such a sense of menace, it had emotion, tension, scares and great action scenes.
This movie abandons all that as well as the laws of physics, logic or any semblance of realism and instead goes for endless unbelivable CGI stunts.
The terminators are as dangerous as the storm troopers from return of the jedi.
Big dissapointment.

Better than expected.

Despite the poor reviews from the press, I quite enjoyed this. The movie has moved the franchise into the future and it wokrs well. Bale is excellent but looks a little mute. Excellent cameo teowards the end and top cinematography, particularly in the action scenes. A good adition to the franchise and one hopes this won't stifle any chances of another movie.
Woohoo

If you like Terminator films, this is for you. A bit more futuristic compared to the others and tiny resemblance to Mad Max films but very entertaining and cool special effects. Still think Terminator 2 is the best of them all but definately prefer this one than Terminator 3!
