The Constant Gardener

John le Carre's story of an affiable diplomat who is determined to get to the bottom of a dastardly secret involving his wife's murder, big corporate and corruption politicians. Africa provides a stunning backdrop. Ralph Fiennes & Rachel Weisz are superb. A great movie, very entertaining.
Good film

A thoughtful, slow moving drama where the two lead characters excel. Africa looks amazing as a backdrop to a story which demonises the pharmaceutical industry and their thirst for profits which ultimaely costs lives. Not a DVD to throw on for a few hours of fun.
Good movie

Very good movie with good performances by two great leads. The only fault is perhaps that the two characters seemed a tad over-caricaturised. But this aside, the plot, performances and backdrop make this a very good film.
Found it irritating
David from Cork, 26 Apr 2007
Tried to watch it a few times but found the main actors too irritating. All seemed a little pre- 9/11 and terribly British. My wife enjoyed it and read the John Le Carre book after seeing it but that was a while ago.

A bit of a slow burner but in all a really good film. Really well made thriller and great acting and chemistry from Feines and Wiess. If you like serious acting and good suspense, Definitely one to watch ;-)
