1.5 out of 10 Not the movie i thought it would be...
Killian from Waterford, 06 Feb 2008
The Exorcism of Emily Rose is being sold as the latest PG-13 horror movie, albeit one that deals with demonic possession instead of ghosts. In reality, however, it's a courtroom drama with a twinge of the supernatural (most of which occurs during flash-backs). Those expecting to be scared by this movie will be disappointed. Aside from the occasional "boo!" moment, the film lacks anything to stand nape hairs on end, and the trail - which occupies a majority of the overlong 113 minute running leng

5 out of 10 Very Dark
Mark from Dublin, 25 Jan 2008
Very Dark I kid you not this film has affected the household moor than any movie ever, two nights after watching I was woken up by partner who claimed the light was in the kitchen it was I switched it off and the time well I'll let you work that out, I reckon that we must have forgot to switch the light off. However the flip of this I cant even mention the movie in front of my partner as she consequently has nightmares and lets her imagination go in into overtime you have been warned..

2.5 out of 10 The exorcism of Emily Rose
Sabrina from Roscommon, 23 Apr 2008
Good Movie, very scary in parts, actually made me google Emily Rose and it turns out that the real story is very different to the one portrayed in the film. think she was actually exorcised 63 times or something crazy like that

Liked the movie - was sufficent as a chiller an also thought provoking in a 'I don't go to mass anymore - oops'. Put it this way. I said my prayers before going to bed. he he.

What's it about....
Based on a true story. In 1976, the Catholic Church officially recognised the demonic possession of a German college freshman. During her exorcism the young woman died and the priest stood trial for causing her death. Academy Award nominee Laura Linney plays an attorney who defends the priest. The case reawakens her faith.
