4 out of 10 Enjoyable
Darragh from Meath, 22 Jul 2013
Really enjoyed this one. True to form and had of the great elements of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Excellant graphics, Gandalf as usual was brilliant! Not as long as expected which was good but one downside was that the film took a while to get going, very slow paced. Once Bilbo starts his adventure it's good all the way!

4.5 out of 10 Long but good
Lizelle from Galway, 09 Sep 2013
Second half of the movie better then the first. Music OTT! Have not read the book but liked it as a movie and watched it with a fan of the book who felt though it was a bit long it was good.

What's it about....
A band of wandering dwarves shows up one or two at a time. The goal? To hire poor Bilbo for a quest that entails defeating a dragon and recovering a treasure. Along the way there are adventures with trolls and elves and The Battle of Five Armies. But most importantly of all he acquires a peculiar ring that has had and will have a great impact on the future of their world.
