Excellent alternative drama

We really enjoyed this film on all levels. It was funny, serious, well acted and written. It was refreshing to see a topic like this dealt with in a believable way. There was a hint of Hollywood "treatment" at times but probably less than one would expect. All in all a great film which will most likely stir a bit of discussion and tickle the mind as well as the heart.
Good movie

Moore and Bening are excellent in this movie. Both nominated for awards but they did not get them unfortunately. Advertised as a comedy everywhere but it is not. Drama about a crisis in a long lesbian relationship with two children when the sperm donor comes in between. Good history and direction. Highly recommended.
Not what I was expecting

Well, I was expecting a cracker of a film, boy was I disappointed!! Watching paint dry would have been more interesting. Are there no good films being made anymore.............obviously not if this is the best Hollywood can come up with. Only positive thing I can say is that the actors played their parts well.
Only ok

It dragged a bit. The acting was fine, but the story didn't quite make the impact it perhaps meant to. What lesbian issues were meant to be addressed? Hard to say. It all just turned out to be about messy relationships. On a very positive note about the movie, it made an absurd situation realistic.
Liked it a lot

This is a great “Art House” film, a good story, well told, if a little neurotic at times.
Some sex scenes that were unnecessary and unattractive and even though I enjoyed visiting with these characters I sure as hell wouldn’t like to hand out with any of them. Enjoy.
