An interesting film noir by Orson Welles

Listening to Welles Irish accent in this movie makes you doubt that he ever did perform at the Gate Theatre with Hilton Edwards and Mac Liammóir but if you can get over that you'll find an interesting film noir. Apparently the studio cut a lot of material from the movie so it does feel disjointed in parts but there's plenty of enjoyable dialogue, great characters and of course camera work and trickery that was way ahead of its time.
