0 out of 10 don't bother if you know the original
Monika from Cork, 08 Jun 2007
It's blatantly obvious that the only reason for this remake was the gimmick release on 6/6/06. Otherwise, a completely pointless exercise as the acting in the original was far superior and the more explanatory parts of the storyline are just brushed over or omitted. The result lacks the tension and cohesion of the original. Best bit: the principal setting is supposed to be London, but the movie was shot in Prague - in the final car chase, watch for the big red neon sign in Czech! rofl

1 out of 10 Omen Remake
Mark from Cork, 01 Aug 2007
Disappointing. The remake stays quite close to the original, some scenes are almost exactly the same but with none of the tension or scares of the original movie. Given some of the actors involved such as Michael Gambon, and some good performances, (especially Mia Farrow), and the original writer this should have been alot better.
