4.5 out of 10 The Station Agent
Mark from Dublin, 10 Aug 2007
Truly one of the best movies I've ever seen which was criminally ignored in the cinema (IMO) Its basically the story of 3 completely different people (a loner trainspotter, a depressed and bereaved mother and artist and a cocky know-it-all coffee vendor) who are brought together by accident and how their lives are much the better for it. Top performances all round (esp Peter Dinklage as Finn and Raven Goodwin as Cleo) and special praise for the commentary (its hilarious)

5 out of 10 10 out of 10!
Ciaran from Dublin, 21 May 2007
A small character driven movie that hits every target. When a vertically-challenged, quiet, introverted, model train collecting man is willed an old Train Station in a small town and moves in, he sets in motion changes in people's lives all around him. Unwittingly, of course! We then get to know some of the residents of the small town and all our time spent with them is time well spent. Truly one of the most heartfelt drama's to be released in a long time.

3.5 out of 10 A feel good movie without sentimentality
Ann from Dublin, 05 Jun 2011
This was a chilled, laid back movie with great performances from the three leading characters. No big drama, just a sense of camaraderie between them. The unlikely friendships which develop are real and great to watch. The fact that the main character is a dwarf soon becomes irrelevant in a way. Well worth watching.

5 out of 10 Excellent
Aisling from Dublin, 18 Aug 2009
I didn't expect this film to be as funny and endearing as it was. Wonderful characters in a very simple story. Dinklage is excellent and Cannavale is hilarious. Rent this, it'll make you feel really good.

5 out of 10 Wonderful
Laura from Dublin, 17 Jun 2009
A wonderful movie in every way. As Fin tries to find a life alone with the trains, he finds much more than he bargained for. A delight, easy on the eye and just a joy all round.

What's it about....
Fin McBride (Dinklage), a loner with a passion for trains, inherits an abandoned train station in the middle of nowhere - a place that suits him just fine because all he wants is to be alone. Soon after moving in, he discovers his isolated depot is more like Grand Central Station! There's Olivia (Clarkson), a distracted and troubled artist, and Joe (Cannavale), a friendly Cuban with an insatiable hunger for conversation. With absolutely nothing in common, they find their...
