Great setting, atmosphere and cast, but I was left feeling a little bored by the end of this one. Really nothing new to discuss and nothing new to learn about a typical werewolf movie. Silver bullets - check. Full moon - check. Victims ripped to shreds - check. This needed a different dimension or some kind of angle or revelation to make it stand out from the rest. Watchable though.

This was a nicely crafted period piece. No surprises because I know the original version but well worth a watch. Hopkins et all give good performances.

Worth a watch although quite flat in areas. Not as bad as I had read in other reviews and del Toro, as always, delivers a solid performance.
