A romantic drama for adults that does not delve into melodrama to get across to the audience. Well acted throughout and althought the subject matter is downbeat, the overall effect is not depressing but rather just plain realistic. Good viewing for those with the patience for it.

Jaoquin Pheonix was born to act! His uncanny ability to portrait someone with manic depression makes this film very good. I dont think theres a role he couldn't play. Overall a good film but Pheonix makes it!

Excellent serious love story. Goes to show that the love story genre can be good in the right hands! A good weepy for the boys and girls.

We don't see enough character development. An attempt at a European type romantic drama, but it fails to keep the viewers attention.

Extremely slow moving. Struggled to keep focussed. Fast forward button couldn't get to end fast enough
