0.5 out of 10 Typical Manga film
Shirin from Offaly, 25 Mar 2009
To begin with I don't know why I rented this film. The story is based on a Japanese legend which was interesting enough, but the graphics (if they can be called so) were bad. It's a typical dirty Manga style film with x-rated graphics and typical portration of women Japanese style throughout the film.

0.5 out of 10 Awful
Ray from Dublin, 01 Oct 2009
Awful, just awful. I'm a fan of most manga/scifi/escapist whatever, but there should be a warning or something that says in big writing "Tentacle Porn". I had to turn it off after ten minutes.

3 out of 10 A Manga Classic!
Steven from Dublin, 02 Feb 2008
This is a pretty cool Manga classic, a little graphic at times-but that's why it's rated 18. The storyline is interesting too. Overall Urotsukidoji is important viewing for any Manga maniac!!

Edward from Dublin, 29 Aug 2007
If tentacle sex does it for you, this is your movie! Poor animation and a very odd story line.

What's it about....
A graphically violent and sexually explicit example of Japanese anime, the first instalment of Urotsukidoji is seen by many as the manga film par excellence. According to ancient lore the earth is made of the three parallel realms of Human, Man-Beast and Monster-Demon. Every three millennia the evil overfiend Chojin brings the realms together. If he succeeds this time all of mankind will be lost. Teenage hero Amano is the only hope for humanity.
