Very impressive film. Very stylish - lots of interesting visual/audio effects that grab your attention without being gimmicky. The structure is cleverly broken up to keep your interest most of the way through. Only in about the last third does it appear like an ordinary film. Great acting. Only thing I might complain about was the ending: a bit "ho-hum", I thought.

I was disappointed with this adaptation. I loved the book and really looked forward to seeing this film, but I found it slow moving and hard to keep watching. It just didn't grab my attention like the book did. Although I knew what was coming, I found the build up boring and feel it could have been done better

Excellent stuff, filmed beautifully but with such a disturbing subject matter it is difficult to watch.

Excellent cinematography & disturbing subject. This really tests the 'nature versus nurture' theory.
